Housing Specification heads to Grand Designs Live

Housing Specification is going to Grand Designs Live on Friday 12th October. Will you be joining us?

Hosted by Man Made Home star Kevin McCloud, and based on the hugely popular Channel 4 series, the event will showcase over 500 exhibitors, across two days, covering interiors, gardens, home improvement, self-build, renovations and technology.

Highlights include the Grand Theatre, where you can hear Kevin McCloud, George Clarke and other experts debate key issues in housing and sustainability, and the RIBA Place to Call Home exhibition, which takes a look at the last 250 years of the British home through  120 drawings and visuals.

I’ll be wondering around the event all day so please come and say hello. If I do pop up please take the opportunity to chat to me about all things homes/self build/passivhaus etc. The most interesting tit-bits from the day will certainly feature in future blog posts and print articles. Go easy on me though, I’m currently learning the complex art of shorthand. Maybe GDL will be the ideal place to put those tricky little squiggles into practice? We shall see.

I’ll also be doing some live tweeting throughout the course of the day. So follow us @HousingSpec for regular updates and photos. Perhaps I’ll be able to score a little twitpic with the design guru himself, Mr Kevin McCloud – fingers crossed.

The event promises to be a really exciting day out and I look forward to seeing everyone there.
